Terms of Service

Last updated: March 15, 2025

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LDiscord’s website and services at https://ldiscord.com (the “Service”), operated by LDiscord (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

LDiscord provides URL shortening and related features (such as analytics dashboards, account management, and optional paid plans). We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

3. Accounts

You may need an account for certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe intellectual property or other rights of third parties
  • Distribute malware, phishing, spam, or deceptive content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
  • Overload, disrupt, or circumvent security or usage limits
  • Use the Service for any purpose that is fraudulent or illegal

We may investigate and suspend or terminate access for violations. We may also block or remove links that we believe violate these Terms or pose risk to users or the Service.

5. Short links and destination content

You are solely responsible for the destination URLs and content associated with your links. Short links may be accessed by the public unless you use features that restrict access (such as password protection). We do not endorse destination sites and are not responsible for third-party content.

6. Paid plans and billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Fees, billing cycles, and taxes are presented at checkout or in your account. Payments are processed by a third-party provider (e.g. Stripe). Subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled in accordance with the provider’s and our billing flows. Refunds, if any, are handled as stated at purchase or required by law.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its branding, software, and content (excluding user-provided content), is owned by LDiscord and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or for operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive termination.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LDISCORD AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANYTHING.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LDiscord and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your links or content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless another jurisdiction is required by mandatory local law. You may wish to replace this with the laws of your own jurisdiction after legal review. Courts in the chosen jurisdiction (subject to applicable consumer rules) may have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
